This site no longer carries affiliate links. Torii Post stopped publishing on 23 August 2026, and every affiliate link was removed from every guide on that date. Nothing on these pages earns us a commission, and no referral cookie is set by anything here.

This page stays online because the guides were written while those links existed, and you're entitled to know what the arrangement was when you read them.

What it was

Until 23 August 2026, some outbound links to shops and services were affiliate links: if you clicked one and bought something, we could earn a commission. It never cost you anything extra and never changed the price you paid. Articles carrying such links said so in a notice near the top of the page.

What it did and didn't change

• We only linked to services we had researched against the operator's own published terms.
• Rankings and verdicts were decided before monetization, not because of it. Where the best answer for a situation was a service we couldn't earn from, that's what we printed — the guides still say so in several places, and those passages are unchanged.
• Criticism stayed in. If a recommended service had a real weakness, it's in the article.

Now

The guides are archived as written, minus the links. Fees, prices and policies described in them were checked when each guide was published and are not being updated. Verify anything that matters on the operator's own site.
